About us

50+ years of getting bamboo out of the ground, organically

The owner of Guaranteed Bamboo Removal has cleared invasive vegetation across the Northeast since 1978, more than 50 years. Early on, he kept noticing the same thing on his customers' properties and their neighbors': a much bigger, much quieter problem spreading underground. Invasive bamboo. He made it his specialty.

So he learned it cold. Two forestry degrees, organic certifications, and decades doing the work taught him what most landscapers never learn, which is exactly how a bamboo root system behaves and how to take it out completely without poisoning the ground around it.

That last part matters to him. When he started, standard bamboo removal meant drenching the soil in harsh chemicals, and a lot of companies still work that way. He refused then and refuses now. The no-chemical method is the reason he can stand behind a written guarantee, and it is why customers across New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Long Island call him after someone else's spray job failed.

The approach

When the stakes are high, you want someone steady

Bamboo problems get tense. There is money on the line, there are neighbors involved, and there is usually a fair amount of frustration by the time we get the call. Customers tell us the honest, no-drama approach over the past 50+ years is the reason they trusted us with the job.
